concert!
Tonight I attended a concert: Christine Lavin and Cheryl Wheeler. Lots of fun and i need to go buy all of Cheryl's CD's now. Anyway during Christine LAvin's set she played a song about being in love with someone who loves to do everything she hates. She prefaced the song by asking the audience if any of them had ever been in love with someone with whom they had nothing in common. I raised my hand because while YuleCat and I have a great deal of common ground philosophically and psychologically, we lack much in the way of common interests (I am at peace with this, he seems to be as well). Since I was in the second row I got picked on. She asked me my name so I told her. She then asked me for the guys name so I told her YuleCat's name. She said "So what, is he at a monster truck show tonight?" and I said no, but tomorrow he would likely be racing a car across a sheet of ice. She dedicated the song to us :)
During the intermission i got a minute to talk to her (she was giving sparkle manicures in the lobby) and she asked "does he really do that?" and I said yes they do in fact drive on frozen lakes for fun and she replied "He's crazy!
