Reoccurring nightmares
Getting a bit personal here. This topic is complements of one of the many members of our support team currently squished into this itty bitty room.
I have a reoccurring nightmare, though I have not had it in quite some time. It showed up on a regular basis from 2001 until late 2008. The dream follows this format:
I am with someone I care about, usually someone with whom I am intimately involved. I am trying to get the person's attention or explain something to them. I speak and they do not hear me. Gradually my voice gets louder and louder. Either they do not hear me OR they do but don't care. Even though I am screaming, my voice barely makes a sound. Eventually I resort to fists. I am pounding on the person's back and they are laughing at me because while I swing my fists with my full strength either they barely tap the person's body OR the whiff through the air and never make contact.
I had variations of this dream about 5 or 6 different people and it sucks every time.
