Things to do while dough is chilling

Today is a major baking day. I have to bake for two upcoming potlucks. I made banana muffins for the weekly potluck with meeplets, and now I am waiting for sugar cookie dough to chill for potluck with my tuesday morning class. Last time i made these I made a few mistakes. First was chilling the dough overnight; it got all gunky. Second was mixing in all the flour that the recipe required. This time I saved some for flouring the rolling pin and all that stuff so the cookies won't come out so pasty. Third was assuming the recipe had enough sugar in it. I added a little more this time. Hopefully the result will be a superior cookie. I am she who cooks!

Eric is off convincing his mother not to kill me or whatever. Hopefully she will accept the engagement, be happy about it, and we can have her talk to my parents and then my parents will stop bugging me. In the meantime I'm keeping myself occupied with lots of menial tasks (thus all the baking being done in advance) I hope that by the time i have baked, showered, cleaned kitchen and bathroom that Eric will be back here and not bleeding. Then maybe we can actually go do something fun for once.
