shadesong, slipjig, jennifer rafaela, felisdemens, wired_lizard milelaurel figmentj, nevacaruso and possibly other on TEAM VENTURE!!!!
For those unfamiliar, Blogathon is a charity event held every summer. Bloggers agree to stay awake for 24 hours and post every half hour on the half hour. In return, people pledge funds to a charity of our choice. I plan to blog for Vital Ground (http://www.vitalground.org/main.php). "With the grizzly bear as its compass Vital Ground works to reconnect fragmented landscapes in the US and Canada critical to wildlife movement and biodiversity. Because the grizzly's range covers several hundred square miles - from alpine meadows to valley bottoms - protecting and expanding habitat and migration corridors important to the Great Bear benefits entire animal and plant communities in the wildest yet most imperiled places left on the continent."
In other words, they're trying to keep Grizzlies from going extinct and prevent overdevelopment of the wilderness.
So yes, I will be blogging for bears!
