Desperate need for computer help
Jul. 4th, 2006 10:39 pmI have an old G3 Powerbook with a 6 gig drive, 400mhz processor. The hard drive is almost full so I purchased a 60gig drive off newegg.com. Trysha has been trying to get the drive working in my computer for the past several days with no luck. All my data has been copied to the larger drive so it should read fine. We tried partitioning the drive a couple of times, once to as small as 8 gigs, and the computer still won't boot off the new drive. We have not yet tried to boot another machine off the same drive but there is the possibility that another machine would boot off the drive and mine won't. I am hoping someone will be able to give me some clue as to what's going on, or maybe get the drive working. Help? Please?
