Welcome to blogathon 2008 where I will be writing all day and all night to raise money for Vital Ground (http://www.vitalground.org). Bears are near and dear to my heart, the closest thing I have to a spirit animal and the idea of a world where there are no bears is horrifying to me. Vital Ground's mission is to assure that grizzly bears always have a place to roam. Check out their website!
A few bits of info you may find useful regarding my fiction which you will be seeing at different points throughout the event. The main character in my story is Kaden Laura Shea, born on February 20, 1980 to an Irish father and english/american mother. She has dual citizenship and spent large chunks of her early life at her grandparents home in the west ireland countryside. Other characters you will meet include Corinna (rini), Justin, Jaime, Adrian and Michelle who range from 3 years older than Kaden to 3 years younger. You may also meet her family and some of her early life friends. Each time i post a piece of fiction about these characters I will give you the location and date that the story is occurring to provide a reference point as it moves between Ireland, New England, California, and who knows where else. It's not a finished work after all!
