Comes the storm

Out the window behind wired_lizard's head I can see the flashes of lightening. They're coming every couple of minutes. Right now the gap between lightening and thunder is substantial so it'll be a while before its really upon us. I do love a good summer storm and we could use a bit of shaking up to get us through the morning.
Worst "caught in the storm" moment of my life: I was a student at Carnegie Mellon, living in Morewood B tower so it must have been the summer after my sophomore year when I stayed on campus June through August. I was just about to get to the intersection that split the main part of campus from my dorm when the sky opened. The rain came down so hard I couldn't see well enough to WALK back to the dorm. I was soaked through instantly. Somehow I managed to navigate my way back to the dorm where I dripped and splooshed my way down the hall to my room. I was wetter than when I first get out of the shower.
Whatever happens with this storm tonight, at least I don't need to go outside! Go ahead and rain, its dry in here!!!
I could continue to report on what's going on here but you do NOT want to know. Really. You're better off in blissful ignorance, laying in your nice cozy beds.
