Jun. 12th, 2001 01:39 pmI have class today at 4 and nothing else planned. I refuse to be productive during my last few hours of freedom before (ugh) summer classes begin. So of course nothing interesting is going on today. I don't want to disconnect my dialup because I fear telemarketers. So instead I am here trying to think of stuff to do.
I note that if microwave instructions say 3-4 minutes, my roomie's microwave only needs 2. I should remember this from now on.
I've been pondering music. The other night Wyndam and I were eating donuts and discussing the fact that many of the CD's we own only have one or two good songs on them. It used to be that when I heard a song I liked, I'd go and by the tape it came on. This resulted in my large but mostly useless tape collection. Over the years I've sold off the ones I didn't want. Now I have to buy CD's which are much more expensive so I am more careful. Yet of the 45 CD's I own, about 6 of them are awful except for the few songs I had heard before purchasing. Mostly I buy new releases by bands I already like because it's too much money to waste on a CD I won't like.
