eustaciavye77Went to a barbecue at Greyhame's parents place on the cape yesterday. I brought Oonh with me, and SirRobin is still in town, staying with Greyhame. Anyway we got there a couple of hours early and decided to go to the beach. I tried to drag Greyhame along but he still refuses to go to any beaches claiming "there's too much sand there." Duh. It's a BEACH. His brother and one of their friends had already left to go down there. Myself and Oonh and SirRobin were the only other people over. I tried saying "your giiiiirlfriend is going!" which made SirRobin laugh but didn't convince Greyhame. He went to buy meat for dinner while SirRobin, Oonh, and I frolicked in the surf.
Ladies and gentlemen of the jounral reading public, do NOT go swimming in open wavy water with people who are almost a foot taller than you are, or even 6 inches taller. See, in order to not get knocked over by waves I have to be able to touch bottom and puch off when I see a wave coming. Oonh and SirRobin could do this where we were standing. I could not because the water was over my head for much of the time. Eventually my legs got tired from treading and I ended up choking on salt water. Ick. Next time I will be a little bit closer to shore. Also, I cannot do crawl in open water for very long. Big shock there. But the swim was refreshing and the weather was nice, and afterwards Greyhame made dinner.
