Over the weekend your faithful music thingy reporter engaged in sleep depped two nights in a row clubbing. In honor of that, Music Thingy presents songs that cause
eustaciavye to sprint toward the dance floor, knocking over all obstacles, in order to assure that she is shaking her tail by the third bar of music.
Also known as the stuff I REALLY like to hear at the club. Not all of these are live clips but that's okay because this is all about what works on the dance floor:
Ladytron! This is "Destroy Everything You Touch." I'm not alone in my obsession with this song; every time they play this song at Heroes, the dance floor gets flooded by lip synching freaks! Its nice cause then I get to be among my own people :D
"Common People" by Pulp is generally great fun, but its even better after a really BAD week at work. This song doesn't provoke dancing so much as it provokes frantic jumping up and down. Very similar to what Jarvis Cocker is doing in this performance really. Sadly Pulp is no more.
I utterly fail at finding video of "Chrome" by VNV nation that is not either an AMV (ugh) or something shitty on someone's cameraphone. Look up the song. Trust me.
