Kaden sets a lamp on fire part deux

Justin settled down on the floor just outside the ripples of energy around his housemate, palms facing out as she had instructed him to do if she ever "went off." Those incidents had become more frequent since her grandfather's death.
"We can't keep going like this."
Kaden's voice returned to something resembling its normal human sound
"I don't do it on purpose. I'm trying to control it. I would like my security deposit back when we move out."
"She'll come back."
"I know she will. Until I lose it again. I can't call my dad cause he won't talk to me and I can't call my grandfather cause he's DEAD. And Orlaithe doesn't exactly have a phone number ya know?"
It was the dilemma she'd faced every time she needed advice, support, any time she came up against things she couldn't handle alone. Being hybrid played a role in every challenge she encountered, but maybe 5 people still alive knew what she was.
"Why did you lose it anyway?"
"She wanted to go out with Jaime tomorrow. I don't even CARE if she goes out with him tomorrow. Its fine. But she asked me after I got off the phone with Dad and he was screaming at me. I snapped at her... you know how it goes."
"Normal lovers quarrel stuff, but when you have one of those, my appliances break. I think for now we should leave things unplugged when we're not using them, just in case. Until you figure out how to get control of this. Let me talk to Rini."

I'm not at all happy with this but I'll work on it some other time.
They will insulate the wires. And yes, eventually she gets control.
